Timothy Mix haylage is made from Timothy grass with approximately 40% Ryegrass.  
The Ryegrass content makes it highly palatable whilst the Timothy brings the sugar levels down to be lower than that of our High Fibre Ryegrass haylage.  This haylage is particularly suitable for fussy eaters who need a low sugar diet.  Just like our other haylage, the grass is cut late in the season when the seed heads are fully developed.  This ensures that the haylage is high in fibre and not too high in protein.  It is also baled at a high dry matter making it economical to feed.
